To Make the Shift to Mobile After Apple's Mobile Wallet Announcement, PieZoni's Chooses LevelUp to Power Their Mobile Payments & Loyalty App

PieZoni's Launches Loyalty and Mobile Payments App Featuring Passbook Integration, Bringing Customers One-Touch Payments & Loyalty

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI--(Marketwired - October 08, 2014) - PieZoni's, a 16-location pizza brand with its home base in East Providence, Rhode Island, has spent years honing its recipe to provide customers with delicious, premium pizza pies. Now, they're sights are set on providing customers with a premium mobile payments & loyalty experience. Given the spotlight placed on mobile payments after Apple's recent mobile wallet announcement, PieZoni's has announced that it will partner with LevelUp to release the PieZoni's loyalty app. This app will enable mobile payments, including a PieZoni's "Pass" card that customers can tuck away in their digital wallet on any Apple device, along with their Visa, Amex, and MasterCard. Even better, paying with the PieZoni's app (or pass) will enable customers to accrue and redeem loyalty rewards with a single touch. Just pay, and everything else is automatic.

"Our incentive to switch to mobile payments, of course based in part on increased customer demand, is huge. More importantly, this move to mobile provides restaurant operators like us with an incredible opportunity that goes beyond just payments," says Victor Martinez, COO of PieZoni's. "We want to leverage this tidal shift in behavior in a way that optimizes the benefits to both our customers and our business. We evaluated a lot of technology platforms and found that LevelUp provides the loyalty and payment platform we need to reward customers while also giving us ownership over the customer data that is the key to making each customer feel special."

PieZoni's customers can look forward to unlocking $8 for every $100 dollars they spend. Customers will also soon be able to pre-order their pizza right from the PieZoni's app, a feature that will launch before the holiday season.

"We're in the business of providing forward-thinking brands like PieZoni's access to a cutting-edge mobile platform that gives customers the best in mobile payments, the best in loyalty, and the best in actionable data," says John Valentine, VP of Sales at LevelUp and a Rhode Island native himself. "It's critical that brands are able to track customer data, down to every last pizza slice. Part of LevelUp's role in the mobile payments and loyalty space is to provide brands access to critical data that is rightfully theirs. Data that will inform important business decisions."

The PieZoni's app will represent LevelUp's first integration with Revention POS, a provider of top-quality POS systems with an especially large presence in the pizza industry.

"We're excited. There is huge potential for us to use mobile payments to support not only a successful loyalty program, but a thriving business as well," said Victor. "We plan to own the shift to mobile by being ahead of the curve and offering customers a seamless experience that wraps payments, rewards, ordering and more into a single mobile experience."

The PieZoni's app will launch just in time for Halloween and will be available as a free download on the App Store and Google Play.
