TOA Technologies Experiences Record Growth in 2010

Leading Cloud-Based Technology Expands Global Customer Footprint, Accelerates Industry Innovation and Inaugurates New Headquarters

To prepare for continued growth, TOA celebrated the opening of its new corporate headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio on February 10th.

New Customer Wins

In the past 12 months, TOA has signed a record number of new top-tier clients, including leading global brands in cable/broadband, telecom, insurance, home services, and retail delivery.

Top customer wins announced in 2010 include Virgin Media, Suddenlink Communications and Blue Ridge Communications, and TOA's solution now manages more than 37 million appointments and deliveries annually.

Product Innovations

In April 2010, TOA Technologies was granted a patent for ETAdirect, its award winning, predictive, end-to-end Software-as-a-Service solution. TOA also announced the general release of ETAdirect 4.0, with the only browser-based, OS, device, and network-agnostic mobility application that allows complete offline functionality to help maximize field employee mobility usage. 

ETAdirect makes efficiency and customer service work in perfect harmony by improving the appointment experience for consumers while maximizing operational efficiencies and reducing expenses for enterprises, combining a unique, real-time view of the field with cutting-edge proactive customer engagement and collaboration tools.

Throughout the year, TOA continued to be a leader in mobile workforce management innovations, offering the industry's first solution for the iPad. Long-time client Arhaus Furniture partnered with TOA in the development and implementation of the iPad functionality.

Industry Recognition

TOA's industry recognition in 2010 culminated in the Ohio Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) putting TOA on top of its Weatherhead 100 list as the fastest growing company in Northeast Ohio, with sales growth of more than 1000%. The Northeast Ohio Software Association (NEOSA) honored TOA with the 2010 Best Tech Innovation Award, and the 2010 American Business Awards (Stevies) named TOA a finalist for New Product of the Year in the "Software as a Service" category. JMP Securities named TOA to its "Hot 100 for 2011" list of the best privately held software companies, and TOA received a 2010 Product of the Year Award from Technology Marketing Corporation's Customer Interaction Solutions magazine.

Global Footprint Expansion

To best serve this growing customer base, TOA has also expanded its executive team and increased its presence around the world. In early 2010 TOA appointed Richard Alden, an experienced veteran from the cable and telecoms industry, as European President, and Bruce Grainger, a proven leader with more than 20 years of technology sales and executive management experience, as Senior Vice President of the Americas. TOA has now grown to over 200 employees in 10 countries.

In December, TOA Technologies moved into an 11,000 square foot new headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio, which will accommodate up to 50 local North East Ohio employees and serve as a base for its global employee base. The company has added 40% to its staff worldwide in the past year, including four executive team hires. TOA is continuing to add high-quality personnel in customer operations, sales and marketing.
