Toast to Independence Day This Year With Trapiche Wines

Celebrate 'Twice' as Nicely With an Argentinian Twist

MENDOZA, ARGENTINA--(Marketwired - Jun 26, 2013) - While the US will celebrate its independence on July 4, Argentina will pay tribute to its own just five days later on July 9. This year, why not celebrate both occasions with an Argentinian flair by serving Trapiche's diverse portfolio of red and white wines at your Independence Day party?

Serving whites at a temperature of 45°F to 50°F and chilling reds for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator to drop the temperature to between 50°F and 60°F makes these Argentinian wines the perfect refreshing treat to celebrate the holiday with friends and family.

Trapiche provides a wide range of varietals perfect for celebrating, including:

Trapiche Vineyards Chardonnay v2012
Trapiche Vineyards Chardonnay is a fresh white wine with aromas of red apple and pineapple on the nose. The wine is well balanced with fruit and acidity on the palate and a smooth, fruity finish. Suggested retail price is $8.

Trapiche Oak Cask Chardonnay v2011
Trapiche Oak Cask Chardonnay has bright yellow hues with aromas of toasted bread, crisp pear and lemon. Medium-bodied with a silky finish, this wine is ideal to serve with fish, pasta, asparagus and fresh cheeses and fruits. Suggested retail price is $14.

Trapiche Oak Cask Red Blend v2011
The 2011 Oak Cask Red Blend exhibits flavors of chocolate, black cherry, plums and licorice. Elegant, soft tannins lead to a full-bodied finish. Trapiche Oak Cask wines are the winery's flagship wines and represent the best that Argentina has to offer in combined quality and value. Suggested retail price is $14.

Broquel Malbec v2011
Broquel-tier wines are sourced from estate vineyards, and in the case of Broquel Malbec, the vineyards average more than 25 years old and are situated at elevations of about 4,000 feet. At this elevation, the fruit achieves maximum ripeness with minimal human interference. The 2011 Broquel Malbec has an intense purple-red color with ruby hues. On the nose, aromas of fresh red and black fruits, floral notes and earthy minerals linger with an elegant touch of smoke. Rich and spicy notes on the palate provide a long and pleasant finish. Suggested retail price is $18.
