Todd Millay of Choate Investment Advisors Named to Barron's 2016 Top Advisors in America List


BOSTON, MA--(Marketwired - Mar 14, 2016) - Todd Millay, managing director of Choate Investment Advisors, has been named to the 2016 list of "Top Advisors" by Barron's magazine. The annual state-by-state listing of "America's best financial advisors" focuses on assets under management, revenue, regulatory record, quality of practice, and philanthropic work. 

At Choate Investment Advisors, Millay oversees the management of over $4 billion in assets for high net worth individuals and families. The firm offers an independent "open architecture" investment strategy, and focuses on providing clients a seamless family office approach to wealth management with institutional quality investment management services that are fully integrated with clients' tax, estate planning, and other needs. Millay is also a regular contributor to Forbes magazine, where he writes a column about managing wealth like a family office.

Outside of the office, Millay is chairman of the board of InnerCity Weightlifting, a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing urban violence by working with young people at the highest risk. He was the founding executive director of the Wharton Global Family Alliance, the research center on family wealth and business at the Wharton School. He received his law degree from Yale Law School in 1997, was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University from 1992 to 1994 (concentration in economics), and earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College in 1992.
