Tony Bennett to Sing for Colours of Hope 2nd Annual Gala Fundraiser, ETA Vaughan

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - March 24, 2009) - Legendary Tony Bennett is the featured artist to appear at the Liberty Grand on Thursday, May 14, 2009, at a benefit for ETA Vaughan, a shelter for abused women and their children.

Board Member Tony Miele, stated, "We are honoured to have Tony Bennett, a great artist known for his even greater heart, to support ETA Vaughan. We want to give these people a safe haven and more importantly, give them the opportunity to rediscover and build their strengths, skills and self-worth."

ETA Vaughan is a shelter for women and their children escaping abusive situations. The shelter is open and welcoming to all religious and cultural groups. The shelter is designed for accommodations in a safe environment with 24 hour security and complete confidentiality. During each stay, residents are warmly welcomed and counseling is available for each resident and their children. Vocational training is also available to help residents build their esteem and skills for employment opportunities.

Tony Bennett has moved the hearts and touched the souls of audiences around the world for decades. An avid painter, he has always put his heart and time into humanitarian concerns and was honoured by the United Nations with their prestigious "Citizen of the World" award, for his charitable work as well as his artistic work.
