Top Cloud Hosting Providers Recognized by Leading Industry Analyst Firm Choose Zenoss for Monitoring & Operations

AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - February 15, 2011) - Zenoss, a leading provider of management software for physical, virtual, and cloud-based IT environments, today announced that five of its commercial customers have been positioned in Gartner Inc.'s 2010 Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Web Hosting*, including two of the five in the "Leaders" quadrant.

Strong penetration among the front-runners in cloud services demonstrates Zenoss' unique ability to deliver automated monitoring, analytics and operations for large-scale, cloud-services infrastructure.

"Zenoss was founded to make it easier to operate and assure service levels in large-scale IT-as-a-service environments. We are happy to see our customers recognized in Gartner's Magic Quadrant and we believe we are contributing to their success," said Bill Karpovich, CEO and Co-Founder of Zenoss.

The Magic Quadrant for Cloud IaaS and Web Hosting refers to a specific set of products and services: colocation, dedicated hosting, utility hosting and cloud IaaS. Selection criteria was weighted on a vendor's ability to execute and completeness of vision, emphasizing under completeness of vision the vendor's future capabilities in cloud services. Rackspace, OpSource and Hosting.com are among the Zenoss customers who appeared in the 2010 Magic Quadrant. Several others in the Magic Quadrant are actively evaluating the Zenoss platform to become part of their next generation operations environments.

Lew Moorman, President of Rackspace Cloud, added, "Our 3 year relationship with Zenoss has been very valuable to us. Their highly-scalable service assurance solution has been an important part of our success across our offerings, including cloud."
