Top U.S. Advertising Agencies Adopt Transis, Industry's First Digital Media Buying Automation Software

More Than 40 Agencies, Including Crispin Porter + Bogusky and McKinney, Sign Transis Beta Licensing Agreements

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwire - October 11, 2010) -  Shawn Riegsecker, president and founder of Centro, is pleased to announce that more than 40 advertising agencies have signed up to use Transis, Centro's innovative media automation software. Transis is the first web-based system that automates the media planning process from front to back including site selection, negotiation, planning and buying as well as digital contracts, campaign management and billing reconciliation.

"The rapid adoption of Transis is indicative of the industry's need for change and technological innovation to bring media planning and buying into the 21st century," said Riegsecker. "These agencies are showing their commitment to bringing their clients the best ideas, the best service and the best opportunities by choosing a platform that increases their efficiency and allows their teams to focus on higher strategic thought and activity. These agencies gain immediate strategic advantages."

Those implementing Transis include:

  • Boelter + Lincoln
  • Burrell Communications Group
  • Cactus Advertising
  • Crispin Porter + Bogusky
  • Echo Media
  • eVisibility
  • iMarketing LTD.
  • McKinney
  • Paramore|Redd
  • True Media

"With digital media placements growing, our media teams have been working hard to keep up with the extra business and added complexity," said Kylee Decker, interactive media supervisor at Crispin Porter + Bogusky. "Transis streamlines the process and takes any potential resource drain off digital media teams. With more time to focus on strategy and creative work, we hope to improve our overall efficiency and effectiveness."

Centro conducted a workforce optimization study that showed 85 percent of media buyers would like to spend more time on highly strategic work, but are devoting the bulk of their time to managing administrative or logistical activities. In addition, nearly 50 percent of the respondents are spending more than half of their days working in Excel and/or email. Transis represents a step forward for advertising agencies by automating the transactional work between buyers and sellers.

"Transis not only streamlines the media buying process, but it also easily integrates into agencies' current technologies and processes, minimizing the learning curve customary with a new technological offering," said Doug Holroyd, executive vice president of connection planning at McKinney. "As the only solution to the research calling for the automation of the media buying process, Transis presents agencies with the unique opportunity to delineate themselves as innovators in the media planning industry."
