Torch River Resources Ltd.: Hole RB06-138 Returns .050% Moly Equivalent Over 255 Meters

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 14, 2006) - Torch River Resources Ltd ("Torch") (TSX VENTURE:TCR) is pleased to announce results of its sixth and seventh holes of the 2006 exploration program on the Red Bird porphyry molybdenum/ copper deposit located in the central coast region of British Columbia. This program intended to outline extensions of known mineral zones as well as explore new areas of interest. To this end Torch drilled holes RB06-137, and RB06-138, its final holes of this year's program.

Below is reported not only the molybdenum and copper values for these holes but also their total equivalent molybdenum values. These equivalent values were calculated using the current market prices for molybdenum at $28.50 U.S. a pound and copper at $3.25 U.S. per pound. Metallurgical test work performed in 1980 returned recovery estimates that ranged from 78 to 80% for molybdenum and 65% for copper.

The following is a compilation of the results from RB-137, and 138:

FROM TO (Meters) Mo (%) Cu (%) Equiv (%)
----------- ----- ----------- --------- -------- ----------
6.00 251.16 EOH 245.16 0.046 0.03 0.049
6.00 261.21 EOH 255.21 0.046 0.041 0.050

Note: EOH denotes the END OF THE HOLE depth.

The three holes, 136, 137 and 138 were drilled to test the Southwest Zone. What is remarkable is that they were mineralized from the surface to depth, with very similar grades.

Our independent geologist, Mr. Ron Parent, remarks in his final report: "The overall results of the program are nothing short of spectacular, indicating a significant potential for expansion of known mineralization."

The above program is under the direction of Mr. Ron Parent, P.Geo., President and Chief Geologist of ResourceEye Services Inc., the company's geological services consultant. Mr. Parent has reviewed and takes responsibility for this News Release as a Qualified Person under NI-43-101 standards.

Torch is also pleased to announce that further to its Press Release of October 12, 2006 it has filed work toward the claim package at Red Bird consisting of 1,836 hectares (over 4,400 acres) to keep all these claims in good standing until the year 2016.
