Tornado Gold Prioritizes NT Green Property

RENO, NEVADA--(CCNMatthews - April 17, 2007) - Tornado Gold International Corp. (OTCBB:TOGI) (the "Company") is pleased to announce it has prioritized the NT Green Property for further exploration.

The NT Green property is comprised of a total of 266 lode claims (about 5,320 acres) in Lander County, Nevada, about 8 miles south of the Barrick Gold's operating Pipeline complex of mines, and about 4 miles west-southwest of Barrick's recently discovered Cortez Hills and Pediment deposits, in an area containing a gold endowment of more than 34 million oz. NT Green is adjacent to Golden Oasis's Toiyabe Property, which is reported by Golden Oasis on 2/2/07 to host high-grade gold values, including 10 feet averaging 18.85 g/t (0.550 oz/ton). Analysis of the results indicates their drilling intersected at least two north-northwest trending mineralized fault zones.

Detailed aeromagnetic data acquired by Tornado Gold suggests the presence of widespread Paleozoic sedimentary rocks at the surface that were interpreted to contain igneous dikes. Follow-up surface work has confirmed the presence of dikes along northwest and northeast trending structures, and grab samples collected at the surface along those structures contain as much as 2.0 g/ton Au.

NT Green bears a strong geologic resemblance to US Gold's Tonkin Springs project, which announced on 4/10/07 the discovery of a high-grade gold occurrence, as high as 0.73 ounces per ton (opt) over 5 feet within a larger intercept of 0.097 opt over 59.5 feet. All of the above mines and prospects, including the NT Green property, are along the prolific Eureka-Battle Mountain Trend, which is also called the Cortez Trend. As such, they all have similar geologic formations and structures.

Dr. Earl W. Abbott, President and CEO of Tornado Gold expressed his excitement: "Recent activity surrounding Tornado's NT Green Property has encouraged us to assign this property a high priority for further exploration. Optimistic findings by neighboring properties held by Golden Oasis and US Gold Corp. suggest that NT Green could possess similar favorable host rocks with gold mineralization."
