Join Toronto's legal community tomorrow night as they go mod for one of the city's hottest and longest-running charity bashes! Now in its 15th year, AIDSbeat has raised over $2 million for the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR). The evening will be chockfull of Union Jacks, Twiggy eyelashes and heavy-weight celeb judges. This year's AIDSbeat will raise a record-breaking $300,000 for AIDS research.

Leaving law behind, six bands will groove back to the 60s and battle it out for the coveted Lexpert Cup. While they may be winners in the courtroom and boardroom, the bands still need to prove themselves to a roster of celebrity judges, including Canadian Idol judge Jake Gold, Juno Award-Winning Ray Coburn, CBC News Senior Business Correspondent Amanda Lang and National Post Legal Post Editor Jim Middlemiss

The bash begins at 8:00 p.m. at the Kool Haus with a performance from last year's winner Right Honourable Jake and the High Court of Soul and the eye poppin' AIDSbeat dancers. This is an evening not to be missed, so ditch your power suits and bust out your go-go boots for a night of rockin' music and dancing.

All the proceeds from AIDSbeat go directly towards supporting CANFAR in its ultimate goal of ending HIV/AIDS everywhere. This year's proceeds will fund 12 ground-breaking AIDS research projects across Canada. As the only national charity in Canada dedicated to finding a solution to the AIDS pandemic, CANFAR has awarded almost $17 million to Canadian HIV/AIDS research since 1987.

AIDSbeat will be held on Friday, October 15, 8:00 p.m. at the Kool Haus, 132 Queen's Quay East.
