Torrent Energy Schedules Investor-Update Conference Call

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - August 15, 2007) - Torrent Energy Corporation (OTCBB : TREN ) today
announced that president and chief executive officer John Carlson will host
a telephonic investor presentation and simultaneous webcast on Thursday,
Aug. 23, 2007 at 1 p.m. Eastern (10 a.m. Pacific). Mr. Carlson will
provide an operational update on Torrent's two coal bed methane natural gas
projects located in Coos Bay, Oregon and southwestern Washington's Chehalis
Basin.
Following his presentation, Carlson will conduct an email-based question
and answer session. Investors interested in participating in the Q&A
