Torrential Partners With Horizon Media and Mandt Bros. Productions to Create Mobile-First Original Series "Digital Diaries"

Combining Innovative In-Season Sports Programming, Market-Leading Technology and Premium Distribution to Reach Fast-Growing Mobile-First Audiences

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 17, 2014) - Torrential Inc., a leading mobile video platform, has partnered with Horizon Media, the largest and fastest growing privately held media services agency in the world and Mandt Bros. Productions to launch "Digital Diaries," a positive, fast-paced, mobile-first original series featuring NFL stars off-the-field.

The "Digital Diaries" original series is being created for mobile-first audiences by Emmy Award winning production company Mandt Bros. Productions, who most recently created and co-produced Walt Disney Pictures "Million Dollar Arm." Weekly episodes feature a positive, fast-paced view into the in-season and off-the-field life of NFL star players. The first "Digital Diaries" episode launched on November 14 and highlights two-time Super Bowl Champion Justin Tuck, defensive end for the Oakland Raiders.

Torrential will distribute "Digital Diaries" to smartphones and tablets through its market-leading mobile video technology platform, and reach football fans within premium in-app and mobile browser media environments including Cinesport, Dailymotion Sports, Men's Health, Men's Fitness, MSN and Sporting News.  The episodes are highly-shareable and social media will also be leveraged. Weekly episodes may be viewed easily through the Torrential TV app.

"Mobile-first content is where marketers want to go, and we're going to help take them there," said Doug McCurdy, Co-founder and President at Torrential. "We're bringing content, technology and advertising together to make this mobile video market much as we did in the early days of online video."

Mobile video is the fastest growing media segment and it provides access to valuable brand consumers who are "always-on." The biggest trend in mobile video is the alignment of ad spend and consumer time spent. According to eMarketer, mobile video ad spend is projected to grow over 110% in 2014 and continue to lead all media growth through 2018.

GEICO is the lead sponsor of "Digital Diaries."
