Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. Earns Three Stevie™ Awards in Third Annual American Business Awards(SM) Program

Toshiba Recognized in Categories of Best Sales Trainer, Best Magazine/Ad Campaign and Best Film or Video Introduction to a Company Meeting

IRVINE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 14, 2005 -- Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced that it has been selected as the recipient of three Stevie Awards in The 2005 American Business Awards program. Presented during ceremonies on June 6 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, TABS received awards in the categories of Best Sales Trainer, Best Magazine/Ad Campaign and Best Film or Video Introduction to a Company Meeting.

In the Best Sales Trainer category, Anthony V. Codianni, director of Training and Dealer Development for TABS, was recognized for his innovative Special Weekly Acquisition Training (S.W.A.T.) program. Codianni, with TABS' imaging division for 21 years, designed S.W.A.T. to quickly train new TABS dealers on Toshiba's extensive product line, including hardware, software, connectivity and advanced color imaging solutions. As a result, TABS dealers have increased sales of Toshiba products by a remarkable 50 percent.

TABS also received recognition for its "Mug Shot" print ad, created by Santa Ana, Calif.-based advertising agency DGWB, and the opening video shown at its 2004 Regional Dealer Summit events, entitled "Built for Speed." In the "Mug Shot" campaign, a mug shot of an out-of-date copier is shown alongside those of other "criminals," comparing the product to a thief that undermines company profit as a result of inefficient document production. The "Built for Speed" video depicted the newly introduced Toshiba e-STUDIO™1050 copier as a racer at Utah's famous Bonneville Salt Flats race track, demonstrating the speed and performance of this versatile document imaging system.

Hailed as "the business world's own Oscars" by the New York Post (April 27, 2005), The American Business Awards are the first national, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in the workplace. During preliminary judging in February through April, business professionals nationwide chose finalists in more than 40 categories from among the 1,200 nominations received from companies of all sizes and industries. Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges and Advisors and their staff selected Stevie winners from among the finalists.

"We are so proud to be recognized with not one, but three American Business Awards," said Mark Mathews, vice president, Marketing, TABS. "Earning awards and recognition within our industry is not uncommon for TABS, but to be selected as the best in three categories among businesses in all industries is certainly an honor. We congratulate all teams and employees involved in the award-winning programs."

"Tonight we honored outstanding companies and the individuals and teams within them," said Michael Gallagher, founder and president of The Stevie Awards, the organization that runs The American Business Awards. "The American Business Awards have grown so quickly because there was a need for a program such as this, to shine a spotlight on executives and businesses that too often go unheralded. Congratulations to all of our 2005 Finalists and Stevie Award winners."
