IRVINE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 19, 2006 -- Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. (TABS) today announced that three of its e-STUDIO™ multifunction products (MFPs) have received the prestigious "Pick of the Year" award from Buyers Laboratory Inc. Announced twice each year, BLI's "Pick of the Year" awards acknowledge the very best overall performers in the company's rigorous lab testing in their respective segments. BLI's experienced analysts base their selections on a wide range of performance factors, including reliability, image quality, ease of use, productivity and a host of network connectivity attributes.

"Toshiba is extremely proud that the e-STUDIO282, e-STUDIO352 and e-STUDIO850 were selected as 'Pick of the Year' MFPs by Buyers Lab in their respective segment categories. This is a huge honor in which our entire organization can take great pride," said Mark Mathews, vice president and general manager, TABS. "It's always rewarding to have our efforts acknowledged by our customers and our industry, so we are especially pleased to earn these awards from an organization as reputable as Buyers Lab."

e-STUDIO282: Unique Features for Ease of Use

The 28 page-per-minute (ppm) Toshiba e-STUDIO282, a BLI "Pick" in the Segment 2 category, stood out from its competitors as a result of its strong feature set. "Its large touch-screen display allows for very good ease of use, its print drivers are excellent and it's one of only a few models in this range to be offered with an optional booklet finisher," said BLI Associate Editor George Mikolay.

e-STUDIO352: Most Reliable in Category

The e-STUDIO352 received a "Pick" award in the Segment 3 category. At 35 ppm, the e-STUDIO352 gave a similarly strong performance in the tests. "This model holds the record as the most reliable Segment 3 model tested to date," noted BLI Managing Editor Daria Hoffman.

e-STUDIO850: Performance and Price Leader

Excellent value and superior productivity were just a few of the strengths that earned the 85 ppm e-STUDIO850 its place as a "Pick" winner in the Segment 5 category. "Not only did the e-STUDIO850 earn positive ratings in every category evaluated, but its fully configured price is among the lowest of models in this speed range," said Mikolay.
