TOWN HALL Hosts Political Commentators Robert Kuttner and Arianna Huffington

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 12, 2007) - Robert Kuttner, Author, "The Squandering of America: How the Failure of our Politics Undermines our Prosperity," will be in conversation with political activist and blogger Arianna Huffington on Monday, November 26, 2007 at UCLA's James Bridges Theater as part of TOWN HALL's ongoing author series Writers Bloc.

Kuttner is the creator of "The American Prospect," an authoritative magazine on liberal ideas, and considered one of the founders of the New Progressive Movement. Kuttner's new book contrasts the present laissez-faire system of capitalism against the managed capitalism of the post-World War II era -- which resulted in a series of boom decades for the US. He notes that four out of five Americans are doing worse than 35 years ago, while the top 10 percent is flourishing.

Huffington is the editor and creator of the popular blog "The Huffington Post." She appears weekly as a co-host on the radio show "Left, Right and Center" and is the author of several books.

Throughout its 70 year history, TOWN HALL has hosted discussions with notable authors such as Carl Sagan, Ray Bradbury and Gore Vidal. This fall, TOWN HALL's Writers Bloc welcomed Lawrence Wright, author of the Pulitzer Prize winner for general non-fiction "The Looming Tower: Al Qaeda and Road to 9/11."
