TOWN HALL Journal Launches Its Third Season of Examining Issues on 89.3FM KPCC

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - September 16, 2010) -  On Sunday, September 19, TOWN HALL Journal begins its third season on 89.3FM KPCC, Southern California Public Radio, broadcasting at 9:00 PM. Season three runs each Sunday from September 19 through December 19.

TOWN HALL Journal is an informative, half-hour radio magazine, hosted by Emmy and Peabody award-winning broadcast journalist Judy Muller, and presented by TOWN HALL Los Angeles, Los Angeles' premier platform for public speaking. Each week, the program draws upon TOWN HALL speakers past and present for an in-depth analysis of political, economic and cultural issues daily affecting Angelenos.

Ongoing changes in legislation and the economic crises gripping the nation are slated for season three. Episodes will examine areas of reform as they unfold nationally including health care, financial regulation and education reform. Shows will feature Town Hall's fall lineup of speakers including: LAPD Chief Charlie Beck addressing the challenges of effective policing in a down economy; Doug Elmendorf, Director of the Congressional Budget Office providing his economic outlook for 2011 and beyond; and Dr. Benjamin Chu, president of both the Southern California Region for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Kaiser Foundation Hospitals who will articulate what health care reform means for Kaiser's patients and practitioners.

In our CEO series, Tim Leiweke, CEO of AEG will ask the question, what will Los Angeles look like in the future? Jeremy Anwyl, CEO of will give insights on the future of the auto industry. And, former Secretary of State and Author, The Honorable Condoleezza Rice, PhD, will discuss her book "Extraordinary, Ordinary People: A Memoir of Family," with her cousin, LA civil rights lawyer and co-director of the Advancement Project, Constance Rice.
