TownePlace Suites Charlotte Arrowood Invites Guests to Take Part in Operation Christmas Child

CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwired - Sep 30, 2014) - It's that time of year to spread good news and great joy as TownePlace Suites Charlotte Arrowood invites guests to stay at the iconic extended-stay hotel in Charlotte, NC for this year's Operation Christmas Child. The time-honored event is the world's largest Christmas project of its kind and provides kids in need with gift-filled shoeboxes from thousands of volunteers, this November and December, 2014.

During National Collection Week November 17 - 24, 2014 individuals, families and groups are invited to fill empty shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, words of encouragement, or health-related items for donation. Samaritan's Purse will collect the shoeboxes, preparing them for overseas shipment, with plans to deliver them to children across the world on six continents.

Each gift-filled shoebox is a tangible way of spreading love, faith and good will to needy children around the world. Since 1993, the event has collected and delivered more than 100 million shoeboxes to children in over 100 countries. Its efforts have benefitted countless children in need thanks to the help of more than 500,000 volunteers worldwide, including 100,000 volunteers in the US alone.
