Toy Company Appoints Industry Leader

Action Products Welcomes Toy Veteran to Sales Position

ORLANDO, FL -- (MARKET WIRE) -- January 24, 2007 -- Action Products International Inc. (NASDAQ: APII), a leading toy designer and manufacturer of educational and positive, non-violent branded toys, has appointed toy industry veteran Donna Sanders as the national sales director of specialty.

In her new role, Sanders will manage the national network of individual sales representatives who work with the specialty toy market, assist the product development and develop retailer promotions.

Sanders joins the Action Products team with vast experience from Zapf Creation, a leading brand manufacturer of play, functional and mini dolls including accessories; BRIO; and most recently, Regal Lager Inc., a distributor of infant products.
