TraceLink Shatters Barrier to Entry for Independent Pharmacies Seeking Cost-Effective DSCSA Compliance Solution

Company's Popular Transaction History Management Software Now Available Online With Limited Time Offer of 40% off Standard Pricing and 30-Day Price Protection Guarantee

NORTH READING, MA--(Marketwired - Jun 2, 2015) - TraceLink Inc., the world's largest track and trace network for connecting the Life Sciences supply chain and eliminating counterfeit prescription drugs from the global marketplace, today announced the TraceLink Dispenser DSCSA Program. The new program enables all US pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, and long-term care facilities to purchase TraceLink's popular Product Track transaction history management software online at 40% off the standard subscription rate. From now through June 30, 2015, Product Track will be available at the breakthrough monthly subscription rate of $150 USD, or an annual subscription rate of $1,500 USD, for each dispensing location that receives prescription drug shipments from suppliers. Standard Product Track subscription rates of $250 USD/month, and $2,500 USD/annually, will take effect on July 1, 2015.

In an equally unprecedented move, TraceLink also announced 30 days of price protection for dispensing-only organizations. If a dispenser produces an authentic price quote for a lower-priced software solution that possesses similar functionality to Product Track within 30 days of purchase, that customer will be eligible to receive either a software price match or a full refund of its software subscription from TraceLink.

"Time is running out for US dispensers, all of whom face new DSCSA compliance requirements on July 1, and TraceLink is focused on making sure that all pharmacists have an easy-to-use DSCSA compliance solution that won't impact the time they spend providing patients with valuable healthcare advice," said Shabbir Dahod, president and CEO of TraceLink. "More leading drug suppliers, including 16 of the top-20 global pharmaceutical companies, use TraceLink software than all of our competitors combined, and our Dispenser DSCSA Program now provides pharmacies with a similar set of tools. Furthermore, we're demonstrating our commitment to make it as easy as possible for any dispenser to prepare for the July 1 deadline by offering special promotional pricing and a 30-day price protection guarantee. No other software provider is able to offer the same value to dispensers."

TraceLink Dispenser DSCSA Program: How It Works

Any healthcare organization that solely dispenses prescription medicine to patients is eligible to participate in the TraceLink Dispenser DSCSA Program. Dispensers who purchase Product Track will be able to digitally manage all of their Transaction History documents that are required under DSCSA. Users will experience a range of capabilities that simplify the compliance process, including:

  • Easy-to-use, web-based software for receiving and storing all DSCSA compliance documents;
  • Quickly confirm with a single mouse click that received shipments match quantity information provided by suppliers;
  • One direct data connection to all of their vendors and suppliers;
  • Storage of all DSCSA compliance documents for the required six years;
  • Comprehensive search capabilities to instantly find any compliance document;
  • 24/7 email support;
  • Connectivity to the largest online community of pharmaceutical suppliers, including more than 170,000 drug manufacturers, wholesale distributors and dispensers.

Dispensers have the flexibility to choose a subscription payment method that best meets their financial needs. Payment options include:

  • Monthly installments for all licenses of Product Track software purchased (one license is required for every pharmacy location that receives shipments of prescription medications from suppliers); or,
  • A single, recurring annual payment for all Product Track licenses at a discounted rate of more than 15% (equivalent to the cost of 10 monthly installments per year).

From now through June 30, 2015, dispensers can take advantage of the $150 USD monthly or $1,500 USD annual subscription rates before standard Product Track subscription rates of $250 USD/month and $2,500 USD/annually take effect on July 1, 2015. In addition, users will pay a one-time set up fee to facilitate the creation of all vendor and supplier connections on the TraceLink network. Every subscriber to the program will also receive access to a series of online training courses designed to step pharmacy staff through the process of using Product Track to manage all of their DSCSA compliance transactions.

All customers who purchase Product Track through the TraceLink Dispenser DSCSA Program before July 1, 2015 will also be eligible to participate in the company's 30-day price protection guarantee plan. Under the plan, dispensers who purchase Product Track through the online Dispenser DSCSA Program before July 1, 2015 will have 30 days to provide TraceLink with an authentic price quote of a similarly-capable competitive software solution, and TraceLink will either match the price of the competitive offering or refund all Product Track software subscription fees to the customer.
