TrackVia Wins THINKstrategies' Cloud Computing Business Value Award

Cloud-Based Application Development Platform Enables Business Users to Easily Build Their Own Database-Driven Solutions

WELLESLEY, MA--(Marketwire - March 21, 2011) -  THINKstrategies, Inc., the leading strategic consulting company focused on the business implications of the on-demand services market, announced today that TrackVia has been named the newest winner of THINKstrategies' Cloud Computing Business Value (CCBV) Awards program, which is aimed at promoting the measurable business benefits being delivered by today's cloud computing solutions.

The CCBV Awards program was announced in January 2010 to recognize Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) providers delivering tangible business benefits to specific user organizations. These benefits include lower costs, faster deployment times, greater profitability, etc.

TrackVia is a provider of an application development platform designed to make it easier for business users to build their own database-driven applications and avoid the backlogs which typically plague IT and traditional in-house software development organizations.

An example of the business benefits derived from TrackVia's platform is the Gannett Co. Healthcare Group, which needed to improve the quality and effectiveness of its customer support operations. The Group's call center agents are dispersed across the U.S. and were tracking calls through a manually-intensive, inconsistent process which was inefficient and created tracking and accountability problems.

Gannett Healthcare Group's EVP Global Operations of Gannett Education, Ken Ramirez, utilized TrackVia's cloud-driven application and database development platform to configure, test, and deploy a fully-customized customer support system into production in a single day that would have taken weeks or even months to implement using a traditional call center solution. The Gannett Healthcare Group also utilizes TrackVia's data analysis and productivity tools to produce reports, statistics, and graphical charts giving the team valuable, real-time insight into key business processes. Gannett Healthcare Group estimates it would have cost 200-300 percent more than the TrackVia subscription fee to obtain comparable capabilities using a traditional call center solution.

As a result of the success of its call center solution, the Group has also employed TrackVia's platform to develop an application and database to track print queue requests from its geographically dispersed sales team for marketing collateral, posters, flyers and other go-to-market material for key events in the field. And, the marketing team has built a centralized database to track the development and usage of its collateral to improve its version control and measure the value of each document. It has also used the TrackVia platform to create a seminar tracking system to manage key logistics for field events across the country.

It is for these reasons that TrackVia has been named THINKstrategies' latest Cloud Computing Business Value (CCBV) Award winner.

"TrackVia is pleased to be recognized by THINKstrategies for the measurable business benefits provided by our Cloud Computing solution," said Matt McAdams, TrackVia founder and CTO. "We firmly believe that the cloud can not only make life easier for non-technical users and IT departments alike but can bring unprecedented ROI for companies of all sizes. We look forward to seeing what our customers will do next with our flexible and powerful database application development platform."

"Today's Cloud-based application development tools are changing the way organizations solve their day-to-day requirements," stated Jeffrey M. Kaplan, Managing Director of THINKstrategies and Founder of the Cloud Computing Showplace. "TrackVia's easy-to-use database capabilities clearly demonstrate the measurable benefits which are being delivered via the Cloud."
