TradeBeam Adds Key Oracle Executive to Drive Engineering and Operations

Industry Veteran Joins the Leader in On-Demand Global Trade Management as Executive Vice President of Engineering and Operations

SAN MATEO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 11, 2006 -- TradeBeam Inc., the leading provider of on-demand Global Trade Management (GTM) software and services, today announced the hiring of Motasim Najeeb as Executive Vice President of Engineering and Operations.

Najeeb brings to the TradeBeam management team more than 20 years of technology and management experience in the enterprise software industry. Most recently, he served as Group Vice President of Enterprise applications at Oracle with responsibility for all PeopleSoft enterprise resource planning (ERP) product lines. Prior to joining PeopleSoft/Oracle, Najeeb was the founding member and General Manager of the Strategic Development Division at WebMD Corporation. He was a member of the executive team that grew WebMD from a start-up to a successful public company with revenue of more than $300 million. Earlier in his career, he held senior management positions at Silicon Graphics, Tandem and Intel Corporations.

In his new role, Najeeb will define the product strategy and manage the product development behind TradeBeam's GTM services. Additionally, he'll manage the data center used for hosting these applications.

"The addition of Motasim represents the next phase of our commitment to hire an experienced executive management team to take TradeBeam to its next level of growth," said President and CEO of TradeBeam Graham R.F. Napier. "Motasim's experience in growing a start-up into a successful public company and providing leadership to a large, geographically distributed application development team in a mature organization were exactly the traits we were seeking."

Najeeb's major strategic imperatives include strengthening TradeBeam's technology platform to enhance an already robust foundation for building configurable application services based on a service-oriented architecture, and providing well-defined interfaces to ease integration with other ERP applications. Additional imperatives include continuing the build out of a world-class data center that will guarantee the highest level of availability, security, performance and scalability for TradeBeam's comprehensive set of GTM applications.

"It's very exciting to join an aggressive, ultra-growth-oriented company," said Motasim Najeeb. "TradeBeam is well-backed by world class investors, enjoys a strong position in the GTM market with a talented team, a mature hosted solution and a committed customer base. This company is very well-positioned in a market with tremendous potential due to the explosive growth in global trade."
