TRADER Corporation Launches Autos.ca: New Site Aggregates Canada's Most Trusted Car Reviews with New Car Listings

CanadianDriver.com transforms into a new website that includes trusted car reviews, previews and tips, in addition to AutoTrader.ca's new car inventory

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 18, 2011) - TRADER Corporation announces today the launch of Autos.ca, the ultimate online destination for automotive information and advice on making smart car purchase decisions. Autos.ca combines the strength of CanadianDriver.com's trusted car reviews and tips from Canada's most renowned car journalists and AutoTrader.ca's industry leading car inventory in Canada – all in one site.

"Building on the strength of CanadianDriver's strong brand equity and comprehensive editorial content and AutoTrader.ca's unparalleled car inventory, Autos.ca fulfills a clear consumer demand for a single site providing unique Canadian content, trusted car reviews and news, along with a complete list of car listings," said Doug Clarke, President of TRADER Corporation. "Autos.ca is currently in its initial stage, but by the end of the year, it will offer other features such as tools and tips to support car owners throughout their car ownership cycle, ranging from car insurance to vehicle maintenance information. Autos.ca will undoubtedly be Canada's largest and most comprehensive automotive site."

In the first phase of its launch, Autos.ca will focus on new passenger vehicles and provides thorough car reviews, first drives and test drives features, news updates, and buyers' guides from car journalists and experts, members of the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC). Autos.ca will feature information on new car pricing and incentives from car manufacturers and car dealers which will be updated daily. Thanks to the comparison-shopping tool, consumers will be able to compare latest makes and models in one place, with a snapshot of vehicle specs and pricing.

The site will also offer over 100,000 new passenger vehicle listings from dealerships across the country, and a search tool based on geolocalization to help locate nearby car dealers. Moreover, vehicle listings are integrated right into the site's editorial sections.

Over the next few months, subsequent site updates will include vehicle videos, as well as tools, tips and quotes on various car-related topics such as car insurance and maintenance. In addition, AutoTrader.ca's used car inventory and functionality will be integrated to the site.

As three out of four Canadians interested in purchasing a car seek information on the Internet to help them make their purchasing decision(1), Autos.ca is well positioned to become the destination consumers will rely on to find their dream car's availability in local dealerships, as well as automotive news, reviews and tips.
