Trading Partners Collaboration Acquires Trade Promotion Management Association

Groups Align to Offer Comprehensive Trading Partner Solutions

NEW YORK, NY -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 15, 2005 -- Trading Partners Collaboration, LLC. (TPC) announced its acquisition of the Trade Promotion Management Association (TPMA), a move to expand its comprehensive collaborative activities between trading partners.

Trading Partners Collaboration is also the parent company of the Vendor Compliance Federation (VCF), the nation's leading organization focused on supplier-retailer purchasing compliance, and the Retail Compliance Council (RCC), a retailer organization focused on improving communication and streamlining processes between manufacturers and retailers.

"The acquisition of TPMA, which will operate as a sister division to VCF and RCC, allows TPC to enhance trading partner profitability from trade promotion planning and forecasting through the supply chain and settlement process," said Deb Kuhns, Managing Director of the TPMA. "Aligning the TPMA with these other divisions represents the strongest opportunity for us to provide a comprehensive resource for our members in addressing issues from sales to settlement.

While the Trade Promotion Management Association focuses on collaborative best practices with respect to trade promotion planning, forecasting and analysis, the Vendor Compliance Federation and Retail Compliance Council emphasize the improvement of retailer-supplier processes and purchasing compliance.

"Trade promotion funds are a vital part of any supplier's marketing program, but an understanding of retailers' needs is required in order to have an effective program," said Al DeMaranville, Channel Marketing Manager, Nintendo of America, Inc. and a member of the TPMA. "Aligning the TPMA with the VCF and RCC should provide us with an even better understanding of how to maximize the impact of our trade funds in the marketplace."

"TPMA provides a critical element in the front-end planning and retail sales and settlement cycle," said Kim Zablocky, Founder and Co-Managing Director, Trading Partners Collaboration. "VCF is well established as the place for retailers and vendors to work through disconnects in the supply chain. We see a golden opportunity to enhance supplier-retailer profits and operations."

The first combined activity of these organizations will be a Fall Conference, November 14 - 16, 2005 in Scottsdale, AZ at the Marriott Camelback Inn Resort and Spa. TPC's National Conferences usually attract many of the nation's largest retailers and vendors, 400 plus overall. A range of topics and speakers will be offered addressing ways to optimize collaborative efforts across the entire supply chain to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
