TRADOS Appoints Patrick Baudouin as New Senior Vice President of EMEA Sales

Former iManage VP Brings Sales Leadership and Content Management Expertise

SUNNYVALE, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 5, 2005 -- TRADOS Inc., the world leader in global information solutions, today announced the appointment of Patrick Baudouin as new senior vice president of Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) sales. Reporting to European general manager and chief technology officer Jochen Hummel, Baudouin will be responsible for extending TRADOS' industry leadership and market share in EMEA, leveraging his 20-year track record of success in both U.S. and international organizations.

Baudouin most recently served as vice president of EMEA operations for content management company iManage, later acquired by another content management leader, Interwoven. During his tenure from 2001 to 2003, while most software vendors saw shrinking revenue and margins, he was in charge of all departments from sales to consulting and led iManage's revenue growth to more than 700% in EMEA, closing the largest deals in company history. Baudouin also helped successfully grow the business outside its U.K. home market to several other European countries as well as balance the revenue mix between direct sales and partner/channel sales.

"Patrick made a remarkable impact on EMEA operations for the enterprise software companies he has led," said Joe Campbell, president and chief executive officer of TRADOS. "His proven leadership and customer-facing skills -- combined with his ability to attract top talent and his deep knowledge of the enterprise content management industry -- make Patrick the ideal executive to help grow our business in our highly valued EMEA market."

With 55% of TRADOS revenue coming from EMEA, Baudouin takes the highly visible leadership role of taking the company to the next level of growth in the region. He will also be responsible for helping customers evolve and improve their globalization processes, continuing the enterprise sales group's performance as a first-class operation, and extending the TRADOS network of partners to offer customers higher levels of support.

His deep experience in enterprise content management gives Baudouin and TRADOS a tremendous edge in bringing complete solutions that help customers better manage and streamline an extended and complex content lifecycle. Further, he brings expertise in workgroup collaboration software and document management technology -- more areas critical to enabling complete enterprise-wide globalization solutions -- from his previous roles as international vice president for ViewStar Corporation and later president of European operations for Leitz/CSE Systems in Germany.

"EMEA is a unique market, because globalization often means communicating to people perhaps just a few miles away but a cultural world apart," remarked Baudouin. "So I look forward to applying my in-depth knowledge of that region of the globe to help educate companies that there is a better way to globalize, which ends up delivering much greater benefits -- from faster time-to-market to more consistent branding. These are core competitive advantages no company can afford to ignore."
