TRAFINA Announces a Farm-in Agreement in Bittern Lake- Joarcam Area

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 6, 2005) - TRAFINA Energy Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:TFA.A) ("TRAFINA") announces that a farm-in agreement has been signed with an operator in the Bittern Lake - Joarcam area (Twp 46-50 Rges 21-23W4M) of central Alberta to drill three exploratory wells to develop natural gas reserves. This Bittern Lake - Joarcam project area abuts the northern edge of the Wetaskiwin area where TRAFINA is developing conventional natural gas and natural gas from coal (NGC) or coal bed methane (CBM).

TRAFINA's initial commitment to drill on the farm-in lands of approximately 9,400 gross ha (37 sections) earns TRAFINA the right to continue to exercise rolling options to drill additional wells in the balance of the farm-in lands. Drilling will commence during the fourth quarter of 2005. TRAFINA has access to an extensive grid of seismic across the farm-in lands.

TRAFINA is a Canadian based emerging energy Company with production of approximately 400 Bbls/d, headquartered in Calgary, Alberta and trading on the TSX venture stock exchange with the symbol TFA.A.
