Training Magazine Honors Oakwood Worldwide for Third Consecutive Year

Company Advances 20 Spots in Listing Utilizing Technology and Innovation

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - February 26, 2009) - Oakwood Worldwide, the leading global temporary housing provider, receives distinguished ranking from Training magazine, for the third year running, as a Top 125 company for its employee training and development programs. Oakwood advances 20 spots over last year leading in areas of technology, training and innovation.

The recognition comes for Oakwood's superior work in providing its Home Services and Apartment Management leaders with a pilot, language learning program that offers self-paced, interactive lessons using voice recognition technology. Also, Oakwood gains acknowledgement for two new proprietary software programs, ITV Management and Service Plus, which work with the company's current internal systems to increase communication and customer service levels between guests and Associates.

"We take our commitment to learning and development and to our Associates seriously with Oakwood University (OU)," says Bill Maxwell, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. "By providing world-class training and development programs we enable our Associates to succeed while propelling Oakwood to even greater success." The company's training platform, OU, is a big part of Oakwood's commitment to providing stellar and innovative customer service to its clients and internal customers. OU features both comprehensive in-person and online courses for all its Associates and is continually adding new classes to its curriculum.

The nation's Fortune 500 companies all consider Training's Top 125 list as prestigious. To be considered, companies must participate in an extensive, multi-phase nomination and application process, and submit both quantitative and qualitative data that supports its success. The judges take into account staffing levels, training budgets, new workforce development programs, best practices, and talent management before they ultimately decide on the Top 125.

This year's winners were announced on February 9 at a ceremony in Atlanta. Oakwood was in good company, with companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Microsoft, KPMG, and General Mills topping the list.
