TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. Announces Continuance to Bermuda

DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - October 1, 2009) - TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd. (TSX: TNP) (OTCBB: TAPFF) is pleased to announce that it has completed its continuance from the jurisdiction of the Province of Alberta to the jurisdiction of Bermuda under the new name "TransAtlantic Petroleum Ltd." as approved by the Company's shareholders on July 14, 2009. The Company was formerly known as "TransAtlantic Petroleum Corp." Copies of the Company's new bye-laws and other organizational documents are in the process of being filed on SEDAR.
