TransCanada Announces Retirement of Director


CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 10, 2013) - TransCanada Corporation (TSX:TRP) (NYSE:TRP) (TransCanada) announced the retirement of Mr. John A. MacNaughton as a Director of TransCanada, effective January 9, 2013. Mr. MacNaughton advised the Board of Directors that he is retiring from the Board due to ill health. Mr. MacNaughton has been a member of the Board of Directors of TransCanada since 2006 and the Chair of the Governance Committee since 2009.
