TransGaming Appoints Fredrik Liljegren as Vice President of Graphics and Portability

Company Strengthens Executive Team with Addition of Industry Veteran and DICE Founder

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 3, 2014) - TransGaming Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TNG) the global leader in developing and delivering platform-defining social video game experiences to consumers around the world, today announced that games industry veteran Fredrik Liljegren has joined the company as Vice President of the Graphics and Portability Group. The addition of Liljegren brings decades of technology and gaming leadership experience to TransGaming.

TransGaming is continuing to evolve its technology to bring games onto additional platforms and Liljegren's expansive knowledge of the console market strengthens the company's ability to make its technology more pervasive. Liljegren is tasked with leading global licensing and distribution for TransGaming's suite of translation technologies, patent-backed 3D software rasterizer (SwiftShader), and business development with video game companies and enterprise software companies looking to deploy their applications across a multitude of platforms.

Based in TransGaming's Toronto headquarters, Liljegren reports to Vikas Gupta, CEO and President.

Liljegren was one of four founders and the CEO of Digital Illusions Computer Entertainment (DICE), a renowned Swedish games development studio behind the industry defining Battlefield and Mirror's Edge franchises. His later role within DICE from 2001 to 2006 was as studio manager of its Canadian studio, DICE Canada, before the company's acquisition by Electronic Arts.

"The addition of Fredrik to our executive team continues to solidify TransGaming as an industry leader," said Vikas Gupta, CEO and President of TransGaming. "As a founder and CEO of DICE, among the most notable game studios in the world, and having held numerous CEO roles throughout the industry, Fredrik is unmatched in his experience. He will be crucial in developing new business and strategic relationships with key partners as we aggressively expand our technology platform to reach a wider array of opportunities."

Liljegren's numerous major leadership positions throughout the video games industry include starting and growing four companies. Most recently, he was CEO of Antic Entertainment, a Canadian developer of web and mobile games. Prior, he was the CEO of Redjade Inc., an outsourcing studio focused on delivering 3D art and animation for third party developers of high-end PC and console titles.

"My years of significant industry leadership experience in console, mobile and PC games is a perfect fit for TransGaming and future opportunities for the company," said Liljegren. "Joining the company to lead graphics and portability seemed like a natural fit for the next phase of my career given my background and the company's future. New devices are emerging rapidly and TransGaming is in the exciting position to bring content and applications to these devices in a way that no other company in the world can."

In 2011, Liljegren was given a lifetime achievement award from the Swedish games industry as one of the founding members of DICE.
