Transifex Again Selected for Facebook's FbStart Program as Localization Platform for Mobile Startups Going Global

Localization Identified as Critical Technology Needed to Give Early Stage Mobile Startups a Boost

MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwired - May 15, 2015) - Transifex, www.transifex.com, a leading Localization Automation Platform (LAP) for modern technology companies, today announced it has again been selected as part of Facebook's FbStart Program to help mobile startups take off globally. Transifex is among an elite group of about 20 partners who provide exclusive benefits to FbStart members. Transifex was selected for its Localization Automation Platform that powers the process of launching digital products into multiple languages.

"Startups have limited budgets and resources, so it can be daunting to launch globally from day one," said Antonio J. Espinosa, COO of Transifex. "Through the Facebook FbStart Program, we're happy to help participating startups quickly and easily localize their mobile apps using the Transifex platform so that they will be successful whether just starting out or scaling to new markets."

Facebook's FbStart Program offers mobile startups free access to different packages of industry leading tools and services, depending on what stage of the startup lifecycle they are in. FbStart participants will be able to use the Transifex Localization Automation Platform to localize their mobile apps for six months on the Accelerate Track, for nine months under the Bootstrap Track and for twelve months on the Pre-Launch Track. Startups can apply at www.fbstart.com.

Transifex was selected as one of the Facebook's technology partners in FbStart's inaugural year along with 16 other companies such as Adobe, Asana, HootSuite, Salesforce, and Workable, providing tools and services that help startups build and grow their apps. FbStart distributed over $100 million in benefits to more than 3,800 startups in its first year.

First introduced to Transifex as a participant in FbStart last year, Chromatik provides a catalog of free sheet music for music lovers to practice, perform, and share tunes. Since then, they have launched their service into eight languages using the Transifex platform.

"We got connected with Transifex through Facebook's FbStart program. The timing was perfect for us as we were starting to localize into different countries," said Kelley McKinney, Head of Marketing at Chromatik. "It's been incredibly useful to have our translations in Transifex for our engineers, designers, and even myself to be able to access as necessary. And since we're constantly updating our product and adding in additional features, this has been a lifesaver, both in terms of time and organization."
