Transpera Optimizes Its Bridge System for Delivery of Web Video and Ads to the iPhone

New Package Builds on the Company's Complete Platform, Allowing for the Highest Quality Mobile Video Experience Possible

SANTA MONICA, CA--(Marketwire - March 4, 2008) - Transpera, which provides the first comprehensive platform to monetize Web video on mobile phones, today announced the launch of a new iPhone™ optimization package for its Bridge™ System to coincide with the expected release of the iPhone Software Developers' Kit (SDK) this week. The package allows for distribution of Web videos and targeted advertisements to the iPhone, and represents another way Transpera works with its partners to deliver a dynamic mobile video experience to consumers.

The iPhone-specific optimization package caters to the unique video playback capabilities of the device, including:

-- Dynamic ad insertion and delivery - Web videos and the accompanying
Transpera "Peek" pre-roll videos, which are 5-10 second ads targeted to
specific user demographics and behaviors, are encoded at bit-rates specific
to the iPhone, to maximize the playback experience.

-- Support for the native QuickTime® Player - videos and ads delivered
to the iPhone on the Bridge System are encoded for, and automatically
    launch the native QuickTime player.

-- Video designed specifically for the iPhone's touch screen and screen
size - optimization for the iPhone means delivering video designed
exclusively for its screen size and touch-screen capabilities and providing
users with a custom home-screen icon and larger thumbnails for quick access
to mobile videos from each content source.

According to industry analysts, mobile video subscribers increased by 40 percent in the first three quarters of last year, and continue to grow at a steady rate. To capitalize on this growth, Transpera blends a rich video and community experience with seamless ad integration on any device. In addition to optimizing video content and playback specifically for the iPhone, Transpera's optimization package can be modified for use with almost any of today's smart phones.

"The iPhone has quickly become an integral part of the mobile landscape, and Transpera is thrilled to announce it is now an integral part of the Bridge System," said Nick Glassman, co-founder and vice president of product at Transpera. "It is important for Transpera to cater to the iPhone user and great fun to build a product tailor-made for the iPhone's unique video delivery capabilities and next-generation interface."

The Bridge System, which is Transpera's Web-to-mobile platform, is the first to effectively monetize the delivery of Web video to mobile phones by bringing online content owners together with carriers and advertisers. With both a mobile video content and advertising delivery platform, Transpera's Bridge System provides superior targeting for companies looking to connect with the coveted iPhone user. Transpera recently announced a partnership with Break.com, allowing users to utilize functions such as 'Send to Mobile' or 'Send to Friend' from the online or WAP interfaces. Transpera optimizes the Break mobile video service for the iPhone and nearly all other handsets on the market.
