The Transportation Safety Board of Canada to Release its Preliminary 2006 Transportation Occurrence Statistics

GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 20, 2007) - The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) will release, on March 21, 2007, its preliminary 2006 transportation occurrence statistics. These statistics allow the Board to identify trends in each transportation mode.

When: March 21, 2006, starting at 10:00 a.m. (Eastern Daylight Time)

The TSB is an independent agency that investigates marine, pipeline, railway and aviation transportation occurrences. Its sole aim is the advancement of transportation safety. It is not the function of the Board to assign fault or determine civil or criminal liability.
