TransQuébec & Maritimes Pipeline Inc. Announces Application to Cease to Be a Reporting Issuer


MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 30, 2015) - TransQuébec & Maritimes Pipeline Inc. ("TQM") announced today that it has applied to the securities regulatory authorities in each of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Québec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador for a decision deeming it to have ceased to be a reporting issuer in those jurisdictions.

If the requested decision is made by the securities regulatory authorities, TQM will no longer be a reporting issuer in any jurisdiction in Canada.

TQM will make its audited annual financial statements publicly available on its website at http://www.gazoductqm.com until the 4.25% Series "L" Bonds have been repaid.

Owned 50 per cent by TransCanada Corporation and 50 per cent indirectly by Gaz Metro Limited Partnership, TransQuébec & Maritimes Pipeline Inc. is a 572 km (355 mile) pipeline system that connects with TransCanada's Canadian Mainline and transports natural gas from Saint-Lazare to a point near Québec City, and connects with the Portland Natural Gas Transmission system at the Québec/New
Hampshire border.
