Travelodge Offers Customers Free 'Scouse Brow' Kit at Its New Liverpool Hotel

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Feb. 27, 2012) - To celebrate the opening of its sixth hotel in Liverpool, Travelodge is offering its customers a free 'Scouse Brow' kit.

The thick eyebrow made famous by make-up artist & hair stylist Jodie Lundstram in the Liverpool based reality TV programme Desperate Scousewives is a new trend sweeping the nation; with a whole host of celebrities and royalty sporting the 'Scouse Brow'.

Fans of the 'Scouse Brow' include: the glamorous Duchess of Cambridge, Coleen Rooney, Alex Gerrard, Keira Knightley and Abbey Clancy.

The free 'Scouse Brow' kit designed by Eye Brow Guru Shavata Singh is available at reception at the new Liverpool Central Strand Travelodge hotel. The tool kit includes a 'Scobuse Brow' stencil and high defining eyebrow shading pencils. Users just apply the eyebrow template above their own eyebrow and use the pencil to transform their eyebrow into a 'Scouse Brow'.

The programme based around fierce fashion and the famous WAG lifestyle has certainly helped showcase how truly glamorous the UK's sixth most visited city really is.

Therefore to celebrate the opening of our largest hotel in Liverpool, we thought it would be quite fitting to offer customers a bespoke kit to help them create the famous 'Scouse Brow' for their big glamorous night out."

Interestingly, the new hotel team of 30 at the new Liverpool Central The Strand Travelodge has four staff members called: John, Paul, Richard (Ringo) and George.

I was totally flabbergasted that within my team we had namesakes from Liverpool's most famous boy group, The Beatles. Unfortunately we do not sing as well as the Fab Four."

This year Travelodge is celebrating its tenth anniversary in Liverpool and is investing £18 million and creating 60 new jobs with the opening of two hotels. The first hotel to open is the new Liverpool Central The Strand Travelodge, which is the company's largest hotel in the city. The 141-room property is located opposite the famous Albert Dock and is just a few minutes walk from Liverpool One shopping centre which is home to over 160 designer and high street shops.

The second Travelodge hotel is scheduled to open in November 2012 and is located on Exchange Street.

Over the last two years the budget hotel chain has more than doubled its room stock in Liverpool and by the end of 2012, it will have seven hotels and 522 rooms across the city.

Room rates at Liverpool Central The Strand Travelodge start from £19 and due to its great location most of the rooms offer a great view of Liverpool's famous waterfront which includes the Albert Dock, the River Mersey and the Liverbird building.
