Traxion Closes Financing

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - July 29, 2009) -

Traxion Energy Inc. ("Traxion" or the "Corporation") (TSX VENTURE:TXE) has completed the sale, by way of non-brokered private placement, of a total of 516,666 common shares ("Common Shares") issued on a "flow-through" basis at $0.12 per share for gross proceeds of $62,000. Proceeds of the offering will be used for exploration on the Corporation's Buffalo Coulee, Saskatchewan area. A finder's fee of $960 was paid to an arm's length party which assisted in placing a portion of the subject shares. The finder also received non-transferrable warrants entitling the holder to acquire up to 8,000 common shares at a price of $0.10 per Common Share from the treasury of Traxion for a period of 12 months. The 4 month hold period applicable to the securities issued in connection with the private placement will expire on November 30, 2009.
