TRC Acquires Energy Efficiency Consulting Firm Heschong Mahone Group, Inc.

Acquisition Provides Significant West Coast Presence and Enhances Service Capabilities HMG Principals Known for Thought Leadership in Energy Efficiency


LOWELL, MA--(Marketwire - Jan 14, 2013) - TRC Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRR), a recognized leader in engineering, consulting and construction management services to the energy, environmental and infrastructure markets, today announced that it has acquired Heschong Mahone Group, Inc. (HMG), a leader in building science, policy development and program management in energy efficiency. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to be immediately accretive in the third quarter of fiscal 2013.
