Treasure Hunter Makes Realistic Treasures for Kids of All Ages

SANTA MONICA, CA--(Marketwired - November 25, 2014) - Treasure Magic is starting a new business that makes extremely realistic treasures for kids of all ages. Treasure Magic will also bring huge treasures to parties for kids to play with, including over 40,000 metal coins and thousands of jewels. The website is: http://www.TreasureMagic.com

Owner, Jeff Kitchen has been making treasures for over twenty years and has designed custom chests, gold bars, ingots, crowns, jeweled sword hilts, and many other items throughout his extensive career. A seasoned treasure hunter himself, Mr. Kitchen was part of the crew that recovered the largest sunken treasure ever found—17 tons of 8-reale silver coins in 2007. He was on the Discovery Channel twice in connection with that treasure recovery.

"Everybody talks about treasure, but nobody ever does anything about it," says Kitchen. "I've got treasure in my blood. I try to make them as real as possible because kids really know the difference. For a party, I'll put out 40,000 coins, great treasure chests, gold doubloons, rubies and emeralds, crowns, pearl necklaces and so on. There's so much treasure and the kids play for hours, great imaginative games that make them forget TV and video games. It's so much fun that the adults often jump in too."

Jeff has designed multiple treasure chests, carved with elaborate detail, jeweled inlay, and false bottoms, one of which is seen in the attached picture. He designed the gold skull and crossbones with griffins seen on the inner lid of the jeweled chest, and built the emerald jeweled sword hilt, both in the photo. Jeff designed custom gold bars and Spanish ingots, and had them cast. "I'm fascinated with treasure throughout history," says Jeff. "I study it intensely and incorporate it into the pieces that I make." Jeff also takes orders for super-custom carved chests and highly specialized treasure items, so this can really be a present for the person who has everything.
