Tree Island Completes Renegotiation of Forbearance and Payment Agreements

Tree Island Wire Income Fund ("Tree Island" or the "Fund") (TSX:TIL.UN) announced today that, through its operating subsidiaries, it has entered into Amended Forbearance and Payment Agreements with the Fund's long term debtors pursuant to which the Fund has restructured approximately $35.8 million of debt. The Amendment reduces the monthly payments due in 2011 to the same amount as that paid in 2010, extends the term of the Forbearance Agreements for one year until December 31, 2014 and reduces the remaining payments accordingly.

The Fund was launched on November 12, 2002, with the completion of an Initial Public Offering. The Fund holds a 100% ownership interest in Tree Island Industries Ltd. (the "Company"). The Fund's performance depends entirely on the performance of the Company.
