NORTHRIDGE, CA--(Marketwired - October 21, 2015) - Trend Green, which provides sustainable textiles for use in hotels and other locations around the country, received on September 29, 2015 a contract worth $42,375 from the Department of Defense to provide 2,500 blankets to Iskenderun International Port Operations in Turkey.
This contract comes on the heels of a $85,420.20 contract it received in August from the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support to provide sustainable textiles for Arizona Industries for the Blind.
"I couldn’t have gotten these contracts without US Federal Contractor Registration and my Acquisition Specialist Brian Lewis," said Trend Green Representative Jason Eil. "He not only made the registration process easy but he also answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything he was doing."
He added that Trend Green wasn’t expecting to win government contracts as quickly as it did, and that he’s convinced it did because of how thorough Lewis was.
"He made sure that everything was in order, that we had information about procurement opportunities, and that we were ready to bid," added Eil.
Trend Green, a division of Reid Witlin, was started in 2009. Its line of sustainable textiles consists of 100 percent post-consumer recycled materials designed, woven, and finished in the USA.
