Tri-Mind Entertainment: American Idol Featured Contestant Justin Williams to Release New Single 'Fly' in November

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - November 8, 2010) -  Coming off of his tour in New Zealand, American Idol featured contestant and cancer survivor Justin Williams is set to release his highly anticipated single 'Fly' November 9th 2010. Fly is an emotionally charged song fueled by Williams' soulful and powerful vocals. Kara DioGuardi, a former judge on American Idol described Williams as being someone she will remember. In a recent interview, Justin describes his experience on American Idol and what led to the inspiration for his upcoming single.

How would you describe the Justin Williams today from the Justin Williams on American Idol?

"During American Idol, I felt that I was still in a stage of discovering myself as an artist and defining who I was and the direction I wanted to go. I was in a competitive mode and had a drive to try and be the artist they wanted me to be, or so I thought. That experience has led me to many self-defining moments that have truly helped me find myself as a person as well as a musician. Life is about progression; I know that I am never going to stop learning new things about myself and developing myself as a better artist. Who I am today is someone that has a drive to connect with people. It's different than the drive to compete and be someone others want me to be. It's about being myself so that people can connect with the person that I am naturally. What you see is what you get type of attitude."

What was the inspiration for Fly?

"Every person knows someone or has experienced a situation similar to what Fly is all about. It's about knowing that the person you care about so deeply, is in such an unhealthy relationship and for whatever reason, they continue to stay in it even though they are getting hurt. There is nothing you can do except watch from a distance and hope that they decide to 'Fly Away.'"

Recently Williams was signed by LA based indie-label Tri-Mind Entertainment and has been co-writing and producing 'Fly' with Michael Figueroa an exclusive writer of Warner Chappell. To learn more about Justin Williams and his music, become a fan at:
