Tribune Intersects 8.11 g/t Gold Over 3.05 Meters at Reed Lake

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 7, 2008) - Tribune Uranium Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TCB)(FRANKFURT:S8QA) (the "Company") ("Tribune") is pleased to report assay results from the first 2 holes of its Reed Lake drilling program. The Company drilled a total of 3050 meters in 13 holes to test the Quartz Claims, located southwest of Snow Lake Manitoba.

Assaying of drill core is being completed by Loring Laboratories Ltd. of Calgary, Alta. Results on the remaining 11 holes are expected shortly.

The Quartz Claims are located in an actively explored area that includes the recent VMS Ventures Inc. discovery hole grading 11.19% copper over 10.5 meters. The recent drilling by Tribune has indicated narrow sections of copper bearing mineralization within rhyolite tuffs as well as gold bearing structures. These gold bearing structures have now been tested over 200 meters of strike length and 300 meters of dip extent.

Gold assays greater than 1 g/t are listed below:

Drill Hole From (m) To (m) Interval(m) Au (g/t) Ag (g/t)
RL-2007-1 55.18 56.71 1.52 1.266 0.7
RL-2007-2 58.16 60.06 1.91 2.30 1.6
and 81.4 82.32 0.91 3.733 0.70
and 85.06 91.16 6.10 5.07 1.02
including 88.11 91.16 3.05 8.106 1.06
and 150.6 151.5 0.91 4.066 1.8

The 2008 winter drill program has confirmed that gold mineralization is associated with coarse pyrite within quartz-carbonate-chlorite veins as well as in a fine grained pyrite bearing dacite dyke striking at an oblique angle to the overall schistosity (striking east-west). The dyke appears to be responsible for mineralization as well as the infusion of quartz-carbonate in wall areas adjacent to the dyke. Within the dyke, fine pyrite is present in all fractures as well as in clear quartz veins that form up to 10% of the dyke. Pyrite may be present in amounts up to 10% in the dyke.

The Quartz Claims cover a 4,800 foot long electromagnetic conductor which is interpreted to lie in a fold axis. Previous drilling in the 1980's by Hudbay Minerals intersected significant gold mineralization and alteration mineralization in the course of testing the EM conductor. Highlights from historical drilling along the eastern end of the conductor included 18.1 g/t Au over 1.27 meters and 12.2 g/t Au over 1.37 meters. Previous drilling at the east end of the EM conductor indicated at least 2 parallel gold bearing veins with gold values intersected along 700 feet of strike length and 600 feet of dip extent.

Tribune's 2008 winter drill program at Reed Lake was performed under the supervision of Edward Kruchkowski, P.Geo, director of Tribune, and a Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101. Drill cores were split using a manual core splitter, with one-half placed in sealed bags. Core samples were delivered by Tribune personnel to the Loring Labs facility in Calgary, AB. A sample quality control/quality assurance program is in place. Mr. Kruchkowski prepared and approved the information contained in this release.

Tribune Uranium Corp. is a Canadian exploration company committed to the strategic acquisition of drill ready projects. Led by an experienced management team, the Company plans to aggressively explore its current portfolio of highly prospective properties. The Company headquarters are in Vancouver, BC and shares are traded on the TSX Venture Exchange (TCB) and the Frankfurt Exchange (S8QA).
