Tribute Minerals Inc.: Update on Arrow Zone

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 8, 2005) - Tribute Minerals Inc.
(TSX VENTURE:TBM) is pleased to announce a record of the significant
holes drilled on the Garnet Lake property's Arrow zone. Tribute would
also like to take this opportunity to announce the indium and gallium
numbers from it's recent drill holes, as these metals continue to gain
significance in the technological manufacturing sector. Previous drill
holes that discovered the Arrow zone in 1997, drilled by Noranda (and
listed below), were not assayed for indium and gallium. In 2002 indium
traded for $65 dollars a kilogram as compared to it's recent record high
of $1,000 dollars a kilogram.

A compendium of significant results from the property, both Noranda and
Tribute (with indium and gallium grades for the recent Tribute holes) is
listed below for public interest and disclosure. A map will be posted on
the web site, plotting the drill hole locations.

A recent article on Indium from written by Martin Hayes,
dated February 25, 2005, "Free-market prices were indicated at
$1,000/1,060 a kilo... Supplies have been dwindling of the metal that is
in hot demand for use in liquid crystal display (LCD) television and
computer flat panel display (FPD) screens since late 2002, when prices
were a mere $65/kg. ... Demand has been cranked up because the main
end-use - some 75% of global demand - is in the ITO (indium-tin-oxide)
that is applied to glass used in high definition LCD screens. ... the
cost of the metal amounts at most just one percent of total production
costs, and prices are seen rising towards $1,500/kg."

Another article by Robin Paxton dated January 25, 2005,
stated, "Top flat-screen makers L.G. Philips and Samsung Electronics Co.
Ltd. are spending more than $40 billion to ramp up out put over the next

Recent results are encouraging in that the zone remains open along
strike to the west and in the up and down dip directions. Best results,
based on assays completed to date, are 1.4 metres of 4.00% Zn, 0.44% Cu,
0.13 g/t Au and 12.9 g/t Ag in drill hole GL-2005-10 which intersected
the zone 70 metres to the east of GL-2004-08 (10.2 metres of 8.5% Zn,
0.95% Cu, 1.00 g/t Au and 24.89 g/t Ag - January 11, 2005 News Release).
Assays are still pending from one down and two up dip holes. Drilling is
expected to recommence at the end of March.
