Triex and Full Metal Commence Drilling at Boulder Creek Uranium Deposit, Alaska

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - June 7, 2006) -

NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO UNITED STATES NEWS WIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE UNITED STATES.

Triex Minerals Corporation (TSX VENTURE:TXM) ("Triex") and Full Metal Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:FMM) ("Full Metal") are pleased to announce that the 2006 diamond drilling program has commenced at the Boulder Creek uranium deposit in western Alaska.

Boulder Creek is the largest known uranium deposit in Alaska, located in the southeastern corner of the Seward Peninsula, approximately 160 kilometres northeast of Nome, and 47 kilometres northeast of the coastal village of Elim. Peak Exploration Ltd. has been contracted to complete an initial phase of 1,500 metres of core drilling, with the objective of expanding the known extent of uranium mineralization at Boulder Creek, and to test for additional occurrences along a nine kilometre belt of anomalous geochemistry identified in 2005 (see January 16, 2006 news release). The program will also include reconnaissance airborne radiometric surveys and grid-based geochemistry in prospective areas. The program is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete and is budgeted at C$ 1.1 million. Third party quality assurance/quality control planning and review is in place.

A second phase of follow-up geochemistry and diamond drilling is planned for August, once all drill data from Boulder Creek is reviewed, and regional targets are prioritized.

Additional information on the Boulder Creek deposit and the Joint Venture agreement between Triex and Full Metal is provided in the September 28, 2005 news release. Triex operates the Joint Venture under a joint Management Committee with Full Metal. Additionally, the companies have a strategic alliance to explore for uranium deposits throughout Alaska.

The 2006 drilling program will be managed by David Pawliuk, P.Geo., a qualified person as defined by NI 43-101, and a member of the 2005 exploration team at Boulder. Content of this release has been reviewed and approved by Robert McLeod, P.Geo., Vice President Exploration of Full Metal and Michael Gunning, P.Geo., President of Triex; both are Qualified Persons as defined by NI 43-101.

Triex is a Canadian junior exploration company focused on uranium opportunities in three separate districts in North America, and is currently drilling at the Mountain Lake uranium deposit in northern Canada. For further information on its eight core projects and $6.5 million exploration budget for 2006, visit the Triex website at www.triexminerals.com.

Full Metal is currently drilling the high grade Lucky Shot Discovery in Alaska with a 60 hole, 10,000 metre diamond drilling program. Further plans for the 2006 field season in Alaska include a minimum of six diamond drill programs totaling $6 million in exploration. Full Metal also has Joint Venture agreements with Metallica Resources and Andover Ventures.
