Triex Minerals Corporation: West Carswell Property-Airborne Survey Completed

Triex Minerals Corporation (TSX VENTURE:TXM) (the "Company") is pleased to report that the Company has received preliminary data for the recently completed MEGATEM survey flown by Fugro Airborne Surveys Corp. over the Company's West Carswell Property (News Release, August 11, 2005). The 100% owned West Carswell property is located approximately 20 km to northwest of the Shea Creek Uranium Deposit in the southwestern part of the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan (see www.triexminerals.com for location map).

Follow-up exploration work, including drilling, is currently being planned based on features evident on preliminary magnetic and electromagnetic plan maps, and a program will be finalized once final data from the MEGATEM survey has been received, interpreted, and integrated with regional data sets. An initial budget of $600,000 has been allocated to the West Carswell property.

Dr. Michael Gunning, Ph.D., P.Geo., Vice President Exploration of Triex Minerals, is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and is responsible for program design and quality control of exploration undertaken by Triex Minerals Corporation.
