Trimax Signs Joint Partnership MOU With Renowned Engineering and Development Company, Habib Rafiq International (PVT) Ltd.

TORONTO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 2, 2007 -- Trimax Corporation (OTCBB: TMXO), providers of Broadband over Power Line (BPL) communication technologies, announced today that it has entered into a joint partnership MOU with Habib Rafiq International (Pvt) Ltd.

Habib Rafiq International (HRI) is a member company of the Habib Rafiq Group, one of Pakistan's largest and most renowned Engineering, Procurement and Construction companies headquartered in Lahore, with offices in UAE and Saudi Arabia. The Group, represented by a team of 5000 professionals, has been leading the way for over four decades working in the fields of Telecommunication, Power Generation, Construction, Chemicals, Textiles, Information Technology and Education. ISO-9001 certified, it has become a well known institution and has completed many prestigious projects both nationally and internationally.

Trimax's January meetings and activities in Pakistan with Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty and the Canadian Information and Communications Technology Trade Mission opened many doors. But Trimax representatives stayed in Pakistan for an additional two weeks to meet with senior Pakistani government officials and local ICT business leaders and to find a local partner that had the resources and reputation to partner on large government contracts.

Trimax deployed its BPL technology in one of HRI's buildings for evaluation. HRI's management was immediately impressed with the ease of installation, lack of disruption, flexibility, robustness and cost of the system. HRI was very excited to use Trimax equipment to jointly develop and implement BPL products and services to its existing broadband clients as well as work together on an existing requirement for smart meters for the government power agency, WAPDA.

"HRI is an excellent partner for Trimax. They have the Fixed Local Loop, DSL licenses and a country-wide backbone on optical fiber with Network Operating Centers in all the major cities. HRI has the resources, infrastructure and reputation to handle the kind of BPL contracts we have been working on, some of which will be in excess of US $100 million," said Rashid Hasan, SVP South Asia, Trimax.

Habib Rafiq International acts as the local Pakistani representative and consultant for many multi-national companies. It has technical associations and representation of companies such as Siemens (Germany), General Electric (USA), Mitsubishi (Japan), Daewoo (Korea) and CIT Alcatel (France).

Derek Pepler, Trimax President, stated, "With a population of 160 million, a growing middle class that is quickly transforming into a major market economy and a level playing field for both foreign and local investors, Pakistan represents huge opportunity. Its IT industry revenues are growing by over 40% year on year. We are very happy with our partnership with HRI and excited to be traveling back to Pakistan with the team this month to complete several pilots and demonstrations."
