Trinity Kids to Host 1st Annual Links Fore Kids Charity Golf Tournament
ARLINGTON, TX--(Marketwire - September 15, 2008) - Trinity Kids, Inc. (Trinity Kids), an all
volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that specializes in helping
abused, neglected and abandoned children of North Texas, announced today
that they are hosting the 1st Annual Links Fore Kids Charity Golf
Tournament. The tournament, a 4-man scramble, kicks off at 12:00pm on
Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the Texas Star Golf Course in Euless, Texas.
"We are excited about launching the Links Fore Kids golf tournament as a
new fundraising opportunity to raise awareness and money for abused
children of North Texas," stated Mike Lally, executive director of Trinity
Kids. "Summer camp alone costs approximately $300 per child so we rely on
donations and fundraisers. We have no paid staff, so almost 100 percent of
your donation goes directly towards helping children who deserve to be
given a chance in life."
The Links Fore Kids golf tournament will include a number of contests
including hole-in-one, closest to the pin and long drive contests. Prizes
are being awarded for the top three teams and last place team. Immediately
following the tournament, a raffle, auction and dinner will be hosted by
Joe Gumm of 103.3 ESPN Radio.
"The tournament is going to be played at a great golf course for a great
cause and it is not too late to get involved. We still need more players,
sponsors and items for our raffle and auction," stated Gary Peek, director
for the Links Fore Kids golf tournament. "We can't make this tournament a
success without the help of our sponsors such as David McDavid Honda of
Irving, Luxor Staffing, Supreme Golf and North Texas Catering."
The Links Fore Kids tournament committee is urging companies and
individuals to consider participating in the tournament by playing,
sponsoring a team or becoming a tournament sponsor. Visit
www.LinksForeKids.org for more details on the Links Fore Kids tournament,
player registration and sponsorship opportunities.
