Triple-i Wins Knowledge Portal Contract With U.S. Army CASCOM

OVERLAND PARK, KS -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 9, 2006 -- The Triple-i Corporation has been awarded a contract with the U.S. Army CASCOM (Combined Arms Support Command) to integrate multiple Army information and knowledge portals, forming a federation of knowledge and learning enablers. The work will be performed at U.S. Army CASCOM headquarters in Ft. Lee, Virginia and is renewable annually until 2010.

Project Description and challenge:

CASCOM currently operates the Sustainment Portal as a single entry point for Soldiers and units seeking knowledge and information on Combat Service Support (CSS), logistics and all aspects of Sustainment.

The CASCOM Sustainment portal links to other Army and Department of Defense sites, but now requires further integration to fully leverage functionality available within other enterprise level systems. This project will cost effectively integrate various "best of breed" knowledge management, lifelong learning and immersive training practices to provide an adaptive collaboration environment, where Soldiers and leaders continually share and learn.

"A key factor in the Triple-i CASCOM Sustainment Portal project win is Triple-i's approach to using multiple information technology (IT) solutions, as opposed to one, and successful work with award winning systems such as Battle Command Knowledge System (BCKS) and Logistics Network (LOGNet), both of which are being further integrated within the CASCOM Sustainment Portal." - Patrick Conway, Chief, Lifelong Learning & Sustainment Portal Branch, Training Support Directorate, ATTD, USACASCOM
