TriPoint Global Equities, LLC Announces Julie Chen as the Head of Newly Launched Research Division

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Apr 20, 2011) - TriPoint Global Equities, LLC, ("TriPoint") a FINRA member and leading boutique investment bank that provides U.S. and non-U.S. companies with capital raising and corporate and strategic advisory services, today announces the launch of its Research Division. The Research Division, headed by Ms. Julie Chen, brings new research focus and capabilities to TriPoint. Ms. Chen joined TriPoint in December 2010 with the primary responsibility of helping to establish an Asia research platform for TriPoint.

In commenting on the launch of the Division, Mr. Mark Elenowitz, Chief Executive Officer of TriPoint, noted the experience Ms. Chen brings to the firm: "This is an especially exciting time to launch the Research Division. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Chen was a Senior Research Analyst covering China at Hudson Securities, CRT Capital Group LLC and Brean Murray Carret & Co. LLC. Before that, Ms. Chen was an Associate Analyst at C.E. Unterberg Towbin covering the Homeland Security sector. Prior to her career on Wall Street, Ms. Chen spent over 10 years in the public and private sectors at such organizations as Port of Seattle, Motorola, and Honeywell. Ms. Chen received her BA in Mathematics from California State University, an MS in Mathematics from Claremont Graduate School, and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Fordham University.
