Tripwire Granted Patent for Integrity Based Fail Over

U.S. Patent Office Recognizes Thought Leadership in System Availability, Security

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - July 16, 2008) - The U.S. Patent Office has granted Tripwire its third patent. Customers have applauded Tripwire's leadership in configuration control and change auditing since the company's founding in 1997 -- and analysts recognize Tripwire as the go-to product for ensuring the continuous integrity of IT configurations, helping ensure regulatory compliance, mitigating security risk and improving IT availability.

This new patent extends Tripwire's market leadership and research prowess. It describes a process that would identify and automatically take out of service any computer system not found to be in a known, trusted state. The system would then fail over to a computing unit known to be in a secure state.

In addition to this milestone, Tripwire has also recently been honored by the Portland Business Journal as one of the 100 fastest-growing companies in Oregon and by Inc. Magazine as one of the 5000 fastest-growing companies in the nation. The Portland-based company holds three other patents.
