Maus, MD, PhD of Harvard Medical School and Charles G. Drake, MD, PhD of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. This preview will highlight select studies being presented at the upcoming 2016 meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research. Trout Talks is an ongoing series featuring conversations with prominent and up-and-coming researchers who are driving scientific innovation forward.

Dr. Maus has performed extensive investigations in the biology of T cell receptors, including the design and manufacture of chimeric antigen receptors, so called CARs, a technology that has already revolutionized the treatment of certain blood cancers. 

Dr. Drake's expertise is in the use of checkpoint inhibitors, the immunotherapy agents that have made such an impact in the treatment of certain solid tumors. His work has also recently been focused on the use of radiation in conjunction with checkpoint blockade.

The Trout Talk, moderated by Trout Group scientific advisor Neil Canavan, will consist of a 1 hour presentation by Dr. Maus and Dr. Drake followed by up to 30 minutes of Q&A.
